Announcing a Honeoye Creek Watershed Plan Meeting
NRCS in New York, in partnership with project sponsor the Town of Richmond, is conducting a public meeting to discuss the proposed Honeoye Creek Watershed Plan and Environmental Document Project in Ontario County.
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in New York, in partnership with project sponsor the Town of Richmond, is conducting a public meeting to discuss the proposed Honeoye Creek Watershed Plan and Environmental Document Project in Ontario County, New York. The meeting will be held at the Town of Richmond Office at 8690 Main Street, Honeoye, NY 14471 at 6:00 p.m. on September 28, 2026.
Representatives from the local sponsor and NRCS, along with their consultant, will provide information on the Honeoye Creek Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Program project, review planning activities to date for the Honeoye Creek Watershed, describe the various alternatives being considered for flood mitigation, answer questions and concerns about the planned activities, seek public input, and outline the planning schedule.
Federal funding has been received to assist the local sponsor in developing the Watershed Project Plan-Environmental Document (ED) but has not yet been secured for the design or construction of this project.
