City of Globe Flooding EWP
Project Description
This project consists of flood mitigation work in Pinal Creek through the City of Globe, AZ. After the severe flooding fall of 2025, the stream channels in the area were heavily aggraded with sediment and debris, much of it from the burn scar of the Telegraph Fire of 2021. Floodwater exceeded channel capacities, damaging property and causing the death of at least three people in Globe. Measures undertaken by City of Globe to address these risks include sediment and debris removal and streambank stabilization using riprap and concrete flood walls.
