Project Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), with Saratoga Springs City as the project sponsor, announce the availability of the Final Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA) for the Saratoga Springs Flood Prevention Project (Project) within the Saratoga Springs Watershed in Utah County, Utah. This project is partially funded through the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act (Public Law [PL] 83-566).
NEPA Analysis
NRCS, as the lead federal agency, has prepared a Final Watershed Plan-EA that analyzes potential impacts to the natural and human environment from this project. The Plan-EA also integrates analysis following the Principles, Requirements and Guidelines for Water and Land Related Resources Implementation Studies and Federal Water Resource Investments (PR&G, 2018). The Draft Plan-EA was reviewed by NRCS-Utah, the National Watershed Management Center, and the National NRCS Headquarters. The Draft Plan-EA was available for public comment between August 25, 2025 and September 24, 2025. A public meeting was held for the Project on September 10, 2025.
Current Status
The NRCS has prepared a Final Plan-EA has and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Project. The Final Plan-EA and FONSI can be downloaded from the Project Documents section below.
